It’s Back To Basics
At Hallandale Beach Florida

Here we are! Hallandale Beach Florida marks the end of our local beaches road trip in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area (also called Broward County), but this is certainly not the last of our adventures.

Hallandale Beach, despite being surrounded by high-rise condominiums right on the shore, is surprisingly relaxed and uncomplicated. This beach is another great spot to take the family for an easygoing, fun-filled outing.

The colorful beach ball-shaped water tower at the corner of Hallandale Beach Boulevard and A1A playfully beckons visitors to this peaceful, neighborhood beach. Pack up the beach toys and the cooler and plan to spend a few hours or the whole day enjoying the sand and waves.

Turning east on Hallandale Beach Boulevard on A1A (where the beach ball water tower is), you’ll abruptly come up to the fire station to your left. It looks like a dead end but you’ll find that the road leads down to the underground covered parking ramp.

Parking here is great because it protects your vehicle from the heat of the sun and makes it easier to get back into the car just in case it rains. The fees are very reasonable right now at $1.00 per hour (1-hour minimum parking).

You can also head to the Hallandale Beach North section (just north of the La Mer Condominiums). This area has a colorful children’s playground and bocce ball courts protected by the shade of pine trees. There is also a large chickee hut in this area with picnic tables.

There is another parking lot located here that uses a master parking meter. Just feed it coins or dollar bills for the amount of time you want to stay and take the receipt to place on your car’s dashboard. Make sure to keep track of the time to avoid getting a parking ticket!

Enjoy your time at the beach!
