Fort Lauderdale Orchid Show
The Fort Lauderdale Orchid Show is one of the largest and most successful tropical flower shows in America. If you love flowers and plants in general and tropical ones in particular, then this is an event that you wouldn’t want to miss. Hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society, the event will also include raffles, competitions and artwork by various artists.
Imagine thousands of orchids on display, orchid growers and vendors on site to whom you can ask directly for advice and recommendations, and hundreds of products and supplies available for purchase – all in one place over three days.
Along with all the wonderful resources for orchid lovers, one of the best things to experience during the show is being surrounded by perfect and exotic blooms in colors ranging from the palest white to soothing pastels or startling bursts of pink or deep violet.
I got my first orchid years ago, a phaleonopsis orchid in a similar show in South Florida, and from then on I was enamored by these flowers. I still have that orchid plant to this day, and with proper care it still blooms several times a year.
This event takes place inside the War Memorial Auditorium at Holiday Park right in Fort Lauderdale. Be sure to not miss it!
