Fourth of July Fireworks
At The Beach &
independence day celebrations

Plus other places around town to celebrate Independence
Day with activities, music and of course, fireworks

I think one of the best ways to see Fourth of July fireworks is at the beach. Nothing beats watching fireworks at the beach. A million little colorful sparks in bigger-than-life patterns etched for a moment onto the vast night sky.

Then it fades away and another one takes its place. The sound of the ocean waves mingling with the rock music and cheers from the crowd. Wow!

We’ve been to the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea celebration and for us, it's probably the best way to celebrate the 4th of July.

Below you'll find a list of beaches in the Fort Lauderdale area that every year host Independence Day festivities.

If you don't want to battle the crowd at the beach, also listed are other July 4th celebrations around town that are not necessarily close to the beach but still promises a ton of fun.

Some of them have fireworks events. Have a ton of fun but remember to always be safe!

4th of July Fireworks and celebrations

Independence Day, July 4, 2014 falls on a Friday this year, and practically everybody is getting ready for a much needed long weekend. We don't get too many of those throughout the year. Plan your weekend party outside with loved ones and friends or in one of the several 4th of July celebrations for America’s birthday bash. Think clear skies and mild weather! Boo to rain!

Entrance to most of these events is free, some may charge a fee, bring extra cash for parking and if you want to purchase food or other sundries at the event. Get there early to snag a good spot.

Spend a day or the afternoon at the beach and stay for the show and the lively ambiance. Or, you can spend the morning at the beach, go home and then go out again to see the fireworks display. Whatever works best for you and the family.

Fireworks shows begin when the sky starts turning dark (around 9 PM this time of year) and normally lasts about 30 minutes or so.
